zackiedawg Posted March 5, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Love the eagles...wish I had more of those around here! This weekend was unfortunately not one I could get out and do any wetlands birding - I got a new computer at home and spent part of the weekend transferring 250GB of data from one to the other, and setting the new one up, and the other day was mostly rained and clouded out. So the only photos I managed to squeeze in during the entire week were around the house and backyard, with my mirrorless cam. So, here are a few: Flower in my backyard on a cloudy day: Squirrel looking for a peanut handout in the front yard: Cardinal hanging out in my yard, with overcast skies:

shootr Posted March 11, 2012 #17 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Thanks for the comments. Me and my wife are so wanting to get up close enough to get a great eagle shot. In three years we've seen three - WAAAAAAAAY far away so they are a smudge on the image. Yesterday, Cape Canaveral has a nest the size of a VW Bug in a tree on the property, baby and momma sitting on a branch - the bus driver called it out but only slowed down, wouldn't stop so we could get a good pic of it. To tag a last couple on this thread from the Disneyworld trip last week. Been playing with the lens/shift thing - some good, most bad... Out front of hotel Fuel barges and other ships as we leave Port Canaveral
shootr Posted March 11, 2012 #18 Share Posted March 11, 2012 ...and some regular shots I liked... Pushing the fuel barge away before sailing House of Blues at Downtown Disney (handheld slooooow with some processing) Loading out the Disney Magic. The round windows just seem to say "old timey" to me, so I tried B&W. I think it works, if you don't notice... ...the guy on a cell phone!!!
