Question about Princess Cays

We rented a clam shell once. Will not do it again. Yes the beach is very rocky. But the clam shell is very hot and stuffy. You can find a lounge chair in the shade. It is crowded. The lounge chairs are next to other ones. But atleast there is shade. We live in Florida. So not too impressed with Princess Cays. Due to the rocks. Be sure to wear good beach shoes. Remember if you have a soda card from the ship it will not work here for your sodas. They have lots of free water everywhere.

I agree they are not worth the money and there are plenty of free chairs and shade.

Does the $49 alcohol package work on Princess Cays for everything? Thanks.

Some people have posted "yes."

The reason the regular soda card does not work is that it is not for cans which is the only kind there.

We were there in the first week of Feb. and we rented a clamshell. We were also lucky to be in the first tender group. We got our pick of clamshells and we picked one in-between the food hut and the restrooms. We were right near the water so our view was unobstructed. It was great. As for the clam shell, I learned from CC that is you raise the bottom of the clamshell a little, it lets a nice breeze through. We were never hot. As for the rocks, there are rocks there, but you can easily maneuver around them as the ager is crystal clear. All in all, we had a great beach day. The ship was in view, the weather was great, the food was near and all was well with the world. :)

Do the bars on Princess Cays get very busy?

We were there last year and had rented a Sanctuary Bungalow. The attendants were running cocktails for us and we never did get close to a bar.

Didn't mean to hijack...just seemed like a good spot to ask.

Forgot the hijack part :)
