Port or starboard on Adventure

Recommended Posts

Booked a portside D2 balcony-9592 on AOS for January Southern Carrib. Is there any benefit to either side. We enjoy being on the island side when at port. Don't know if its hit and miss where and how the ships dock. Also would love to upgrade to a JS closer to cruise date if the price happens to drop, but don't know if the extra space is worth moving from midship

You have a 50/50 chance at any given port of facing the dock. No worries...there are things to see on both sides of the ship, as you'll be in a harbor...not open ocean!

Not True!! I know of of at least two ports, Curacao and Dominica, where the ship docks with one side to shore and there is nothing but water on the other side.

OP - it really won't matter. How the ship docks is based on how many ships are in port, who gets there first, weather conditions etc. The ship might pull in forward one time and then back in next time. There really is no guarantee.
