Do Travel Agents offer real discounts or bonuses to use them? My wife always love planning our trips, and unless there is a true savings to using a TA we will continue to do it ourselves.

 

Are they the same or better rates? Do they give OBC?

 

What does your TA do for you above what rates Celebrity offers directly?

We do all our own planning and then send our TA after any better prices or benefits that may be out there OBC are good. Sometimes the cruise company or another TA can get us a better deal.

some cruise lines do not allow TA's to discount but the TA may provide a perk such as OBC, free insurance etc..

Between discounts and perks, we always find a good savings over the cruise line pricing

Thank you for the inputs. I will definitely look into this for our next cruise. We will probably plan it all out and see if any of them can offer discounts above what we have gotten.
