Ships and tendering

We are interested in an Eastern Caribbean cruise, but when you get to the various ports, does the ship go right up to the dock or do you have to take a small boat into the port? I may not be asking this correctly, but my husband gets motion sick on small boats, so I'm worried about that. He does fine on the big ships.

It really depends on the port/ At Princess Cay, it is tendering, but normally a ride of about 10 minutes, or less. Most ports are docked. If you look at your itinerary, it should tell which are tendered. We have been to Princess Cay many times, so we just stay on the ship and have a relaxing pool day.
