sunset785 Posted March 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2012 We are considering booking the Allure or Oasis for next year. We could travel when DS is 15 months old or when he is 18 months old. Cost is about the same for each trip. Which age would be better? FWIW, we are leaning towards 18 months.
mjkacmom Posted March 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2012 BTDT 5 times - both are equally as hard - lol! Running, not wanting to sit, on table food but not good with a fork, no pools, still needing diaper changes, most likely sippy cups, still napping (18 month old might be better for that - some of mine still needed 2 naps a day at 15 months). I've travelled with kids, and found it best from 3 - 8 months, and then after age 3.
B_Mc Posted March 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Based on my son, I'd say they'll be the same. Maybe a better walker around 18 months, but that's about the only difference I can imagine! GL, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
Pikaia Posted March 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Depends entirely on the kiddo. Some kids are mellower at 15 months, others at 18 months, and for most there's probably no appreciable difference. You are the one best able to predict, but don't put too much thought into it; there's really no predicting toddler phases. :) We cruised with our older daughter when she was 15 months, and it went great. Our younger daughter didn't get on a cruise ship until she was 4 years old, for good reason. :D
cb at sea Posted March 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Really, no difference. Your child won't know where he/she is...nor will they care! As long as you're happy, they'll be happy!
parrotthead Posted March 22, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2012 A few months older = a little more aware. Your little one may be more interested in the Big ship and "look at the pretty (fill in the blank)" either way, yall will have fun!
