The hair dryers provided by Celebrity are the type where you have to hold down the button for them to run....which can be difficult/awkward for some. If you want a "normal" hair dryer that turns on, you might want to bring your own.

Are there adequate plugs for dryers? Have a CC cabin ... saw no plugs except at desk

There is a plug in the bathroom also. I like to sit at the desk/vanity area to do/dry my hair, as bathroom is often quite steamy and hot.

is this normal for all ships? never had to hold a button on a hair dryer on any ship or in any hotel. I'm thinking i better pack my own. anyone know if this is the case on equinox?/

I noticed those pain in the neck hairdryers this past Dec and I don't remember having to work so hard to dry my hair in previous cruises.

They are awful. But I don't think you can bring your own, aren't they on the list of things banned?

 

 

However, to make up for the awful hair dryer, we did have the best smoothie ever.;)

 

Tip: Try the banana smoothies for breakfast. The best. And I am not even a huge fan of bananas!

I always bring my own haie dryer with me. The ones on the ships are not strong enough to dry my hair as it's very thick. I have never had an issue with bringing it. I actually leave it out on the dresser visible to all.

Does your power strip have only the 2 flat prongs or has it 2 flat and 1 round? That is what I bought as USA power strip and I'm confused now.

 

Power strips usually have 2 flats and 1 round. If you have something that has 2 flats, that will fit and just leave the 1 round empty. However if you have something that requires the 2 flats and 1 round and you only have the 2 flats, that won't work.

How about the package where they get a bottle of bubbly, rose petals in a heart shape on their bed and some chocolate covered strawberries? Friends of our received that for their anniversary, and they were thrilled. I'm not sure of the price, but it would be less than $100. A photo of themselves would be nice too.

 

Not sure if Celebrity has it (RCCL did) a "special cruise" photo album and possibly some "special" photos to add to it .... IF not offered by X, how about buying an engraved (with wedding date or cruise info) photo album and then buying "photo" package onboard ... those costs add up quickly & maybe they could get more than they initially planned.

 

Thanks for all of the great ideas. Sorry I couldn't quote everyone that I really wanted to thank. I have some choices to make now :)

I love to rent the tuxedo. Two nights of less packing. For a little extra style I reccoment renting an extra shirt and a different color vest/tie combo.

As long as you're both Elite, then you both get the free minutes and the laundry benefit.

 

On our last cruise, we had not read the laundry coupon carefully, and we almost missed the deadline. The Captain's Club hostess called and left us voice mail to remind us! Well, not just us, I'm sure, but all Elites. Nice touch, she was a great hostess and although I can picture her as though she were right here next to me, I cannot remember her name!!

It never occurred to me that we would each get the laundry and Internet benefit. Thanks for the heads up!
