BillB48 Posted April 8, 2012 #26 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Three days are way too short, have not been on any cruise too long. The longest we have been on a single cruise is 15 days and combined with a B2B is 20 days and still wasn't ready for it to end. Even though 3 days is too short, it is better than watching them sail by on the web cam or from Jetty Park!!
gubby Posted April 8, 2012 #27 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Shortest we have done is a 7 day. Much too short. Longest was a B2B for 28 days. That was when I knew I could live on a cruise ship. We have done a 16 day TA and have 2 more booked. We both love sea days, find them so relaxing. If we fly To Europe, then we also spend a week or two touring cities before the cruise. That way we feel we got our money's worth for the flight. So far we have toured Paris, Rome, Venice, Prague. Next up are Madrid and Malaga. sparkscruiser Posted April 8, 2012 #30 Share Posted April 8, 2012 We love the longer cruises we have taken. Most of ours have been 7 days - but I would cruise two weeks at a time all the time if I could afford it!
kitty9 Posted April 8, 2012 #31 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Three weeks or longer.
jocap Posted April 8, 2012 #32 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Usually a fortnight to 17 days, then a short 7 nighter later in the year, just round N. Europe. Jo.
boogs Posted April 8, 2012 #33 Share Posted April 8, 2012 If it's a cruise where we need to fly overseas to get there, we go for the longer cruises. Since airfare is so expensive, we try to get the most value out of the airfares by booking longer cruises and staying a few days pre and post cruise. Longer cruises generally go to more places, so you don't have to take a second cruise (and another bill for airfare) to get to all of them. If it's near home, we would probably do a 7 day cruise. Seago2 Posted April 9, 2012 #34 Share Posted April 9, 2012 10 days. After that I start to get antsy and miss the kids and pets. However, for a great itinerary (like South America) you can throw that out the window ;).
RCI_FADM_76 Posted April 9, 2012 #35 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Up until last March, we had only done 7 night cruises. At that time, we did a 10 night Caribbean cruise... 10 nights was perfect!
