Value for your dollar?

What gives you more value for your dollar? Obstructed view room with French doors which open or pay the extra money to get a room with a balcony?

I guess it depends on what you like, really. I've only cruised twice but both times we've had balcony rooms. We'll never do anything less! There's just something about sitting out there first thing in the morning with a cup of tea, just watching the world go by. I got to see dolphins playing in the ship's wake at 6am the last time around. Too cool for words, my friend. :)

The answer is neither. The best value for the dollar is an interior cabin which allows you to cruise more often for the same amount of dollars!

We had this same delima last year when we cruised on the Legend. Fresh air was a major concern for me so we booked an obstructed view with the French doors. Before we cruised, we heard that others on our cruise had been upgraded. (Thank you carnivalcruisejunkie!) I had my TA call Carnival and they upgraded us to a balcony! So before you cruise, check to see if Carnival will upgrade you. You never know. Good luck! :)
