cabin size princess v HAL

Are the cabins on Princess (inside) much smaller than HAL. We are trying Princess, and just want to be pre-warned. HAL inside on their smaller ships are quite roomy. Thanks.:)

HAL inside cabins are larger.

 

I had a large inside cabin on the Oosterdam (apparently some are larger then others) and it was easily 50% larger.

I sailed on HAL's Zaandam in an inside cabin in 2009. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cabin. The cabin had a small sofa, which was very nice. I am sailing on the Golden Princess in June and I expect the inside cabin to be smaller.

Cabin sizes vary by class, but HAL's cabins are generally larger, especially

HAL's R & S class ships when compared to Princess' Crown class.

Typical sizes:

inside and oceanview:Hal 182-196sft, Princess @168sft.

 

Balcony "cabin" size comparisons are about the same.

Our inside cabin on HAL had a sofa AND a chair (as well as a vanity chair) and a coffee table that raised for meals and lowered. Lots of drawer space too, although less closet space than Princess. The bathroom was probably twice the size as Princess. We loved it.

2.5 to 3.5 feet probably. not wide enough for a wheel chair (unless its a wheelchair room)

On the Grand Princess, a standard inside cabin door width is 22".

Princess is the only line I've been on that doen't have a sofa in the balcony staterooms. It seems smaller than Hal, RC, Celebrity, and Carnival. Love the minsuites on Princess though!

Except for the older RCCL ships and some of the Inside Cabins on HAL vista class...some of those are MICROSCOPIC!
