leedm Posted May 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2012 We are going to St Thomas and St Martin Nov 2012 on the NCL Epic. Which Port has the best beach or ship Snorkling during that time of year. Thanks:confused::confused::confused:
April-in-NC Posted May 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2012 I've heard fantastic things about the snorkeling at Sapphire Beach in St. Thomas. I'm going to give that a try on our June Victory cruise.
boingy300 Posted May 13, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2012 We have been consistently disappointed in snorkeling in St. Maarten. Great island, fun water day but everything happens at the beach level or higher, imho. St. Thomas (or pref. St. John) get your face in the water, much more exciting. We liked Loterie Farms best in St. Maarten- who knew? Karen
simplelife Posted May 13, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2012 From St. Thomas, take a boat over to St. John & do Trunk Bay. DH is a snorkeler and highly recommends it.
gone_cruisin Posted May 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2012 I second Trunk Bay! Either find a Carnival excursion with Trunk Bay, or grab a cab over to Red Hook and grab the ferry over to St. John. Search up "ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay"
zqvol Posted May 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2012 St. Martin go to Pinel Island. Great snorkeling but in deep water.
OCruisers Posted May 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2012 Love St. Maarten ... but the snorkeling is much better in St.Thomas/St.John. :)
