Talkeetna/Seward

How far of a drive is it from Talkeetna to Seward? In hours, assuming little to no stopping (which we wouldn't do, but just to get an idea of how long the trip takes).

About six hours doing the speed limit and assuming no traffic jams (3 or more RVs doing 25mph).

Too funny wolfie...I consider 1 RV doing the speed limit a traffic jam.Get outta my way!....heehee.. :) The worse part is it's so hard to see anything ahead of them. :(

 

Shrinkin...Buy the Milepost....it's the Alaskan road bible and will pretty much tell you every rock in the road.~~Enjoy Alaska~~

I guess you could make it in six hours but it took us 8 to get from Anchorage to Seward cuz its impossible NOT to stop...its such a great drive and so many wonderful spots along Turnagain Arm.

Definately allow ENOUGH time, more than you think for stops. You can certainly get caught up in unexpected sights that the time will race by. As mentioned a necessary reference is THE MILEPOST. Be certain to have a copy. :) Enjoy the drive- it is paradise.
