cransplash Posted May 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2012 I love getting my nails Shellac'ed, but some posts I've read have said that their manicured (not sure if it was a regular manicure or gel nails) got ruined after doing the Flowrider. I'd hate the pay for Shellac nails and then get them ruined b/c I am definitely trying the Flowrider. Can someone tell me if this is true? I've also heard that the Flowrider ruins your pedicure as well...
cb at sea Posted May 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2012 If you "wipe out" and hit the bottom of the pool, it can certainly scrape off any polish of any kind! If you don't touch anything but water, you'll be fine!
Froufie Posted May 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2012 I would think a shellac manicure/pedicure would have less of a chance of being ruined if you wipe out on the flowrider - while a 'regular' one might see some damage!
3dogmom Posted May 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2012 I did the Flowrider, wiped out a few times :D and my shellac nails and pedicure (regular polish) was perfectly fine, not even a chip.
missygirl Posted May 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2012 I work in a salon where we do shellac nails and last years cruise I had a pedicure with regular polish and the ends wore off quickly and this cruise I will do shellac hoping it stays on the nails better. I'm ahsamed to admit this but my Gelish stayed on my toes for over 6 months until I finally took it off. The only chipping happened months later on the tips of the big toes. I do my own at home and I probably won't do it on my toenails again because of how long it lasts and the logistics of removing it from your toes. GweninTX Posted June 1, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2012 Does anyone know if Princess does shellac nails - specifically the Crown? We will be on for 22 days so I will need to get them done once!
