seelylake9 Posted May 28, 2012 #26 Share Posted May 28, 2012 :D I probably wouldn't do more than 6 cruises a year. I think that would be my annual limit. It also depends on how long the cruises are of course..
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 28, 2012 #27 Share Posted May 28, 2012 While we worked we were only able to take 1 vacation a year -- rarely could we get the same time off even though we both had seniority at our jobs. But once we retired -- we were able to cruise about 65 - 70 days a year -- usually 4 cruises -- either back-to-back on long cruises. Then a couple of years ago many things happened -- house -- health and now we are lucky to get 2 cruises a year in. And with the hassle of fewer flights and no direct flights to anywhere -- that also keeps us from cruising.
sail7seas Posted May 28, 2012 #28 Share Posted May 28, 2012 We always cruise three times a year but usually 4-5 cruises. Everyone gets stressed at a different time and pace. DH has highly stressful profession and works exremely hard. He needs regular breaks and we find that R&R on HAL ships. :)
Andee Posted May 28, 2012 #29 Share Posted May 28, 2012 We take ski weeks in January and March--my favorite type of vacation. We have to travel to see our beloved granddaughters, so save some vacation to do that a couple of times a year. If all goes well, we go on another vacation in the fall--but nothing planned this year. We love to do a theater weekend in NYC every couple of years. We like the occasional cruise, went on 7 between 1996 and 2006, but haven't been on one since then. We cruise primarily for the itinerary, and nothing has called to us recently.
