emas4 Posted May 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2012 I've searched and found conflicting information. Do the bathrooms on Coral Princess have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower? I'm just wondering what I need to pack. I will be in a balcony room - don't know if that matters.

No gel automatically in balcony cabins, but ask for it and see what happens.
paul929207 Posted May 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Yes, all three are provided and replenished as needed.
cflutist Posted May 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Standard is a round bar of soap, lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. Elite/suites also get bottles of bath gel, shower cap, bottle of Linen Mist, Q-tips/cotton balls, emory nail file, and this oval shaped bath sponge thingy (looks like part loofa, but is flat) and maybe more, but I can't remember. I should have taken a picture of it (presented in a plastic clam shell). caribill Posted May 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Do the bathrooms on Coral Princess have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower? These items are in small plastic bottles on the sink counter, not in the shower.
Jasperdo Posted May 26, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Here's what they will look like. The photo is from the Golden Princess. But I just got off the Coral 2 weeks ago, and had the exact same amenities. Golden Princess by Jasperdo, on Flickr
Bowie MeMe Posted May 26, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2012 And you need to know that they smell strongly of eucalptus oil. It makes my nose run and skin itch so I always bring my own. The soap is round and the face soap is gentle non-scented as is the larger soap for the bath. I do wish Princess would consult on the soap --- it has been years of that stinky icky stuff. :(
emas4 Posted May 29, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Thanks for all the information! Looks like I may be bringing my own liquid shower soap. I like how some cruise ships have dispensers in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Much handier than the little bottles.
cflutist Posted May 29, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2012 As others have said, you can ask your stateroom steward for bath gel (normally reserverd for Elite/Suite pax). Or, just use the shampoo ... liquid soap is soap as far as I'm concerned. I've done that in the past and my body didn't complain :D
knotheadken Posted July 8, 2012 #10 Share Posted July 8, 2012 Does anyone have a photo of the shower stall?
pablo222 Posted July 8, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 8, 2012 (presented in a plastic clam shell). The last few cruises I've been on, the clam shell has been downsized.
Kamloops50 Posted July 8, 2012 #12 Share Posted July 8, 2012 We always take our own shampoo and conditioner on a cruise. DW could have allergy problems with the supplied shampoo.

Was there a corner of the ship you did not take a photo of? LOL Thanks a bunch for sharing them. You're welcome. The Panama Canal is a great cruise. I do like taking pictures. Pia1913 Posted July 11, 2012 #17 Share Posted July 11, 2012 The last few cruises I've been on, the clam shell has been downsized. I hate that clam shell; gets in my way. I just take the whole thing, including the ingredients, and place it on the shelf under the sink. We use only the soap and sometimes I keep the chapstick. aikensbest Posted July 11, 2012 #18 Share Posted July 11, 2012 The added bathroom item of shower gel is in all the suites. It has nothing to do with whether you are Elite.
Shug1948 Posted October 12, 2014 #19 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Thank you for sharing your photos. I've only looked at the one to the Panama Canal and they are fabulous. We sail 10-18-14.
