No set time and can even be assigned at the Port on Embarkation day.

the later you get the cabin # sometimes the better chance of an upgrade....

I booked a guarantee yesterday morning, when there were only two cabins left in that category. I keep checking to see if those cabins are gone yet. I wouldn't mind either of the cabins and I like to know where I will be ahead of time, but I have mixed emotions about getting the assignment this time. Possibly the later, the better.
