Celebrity Infinity - Inside Stateroom Guarantee

Hi. Going up to Seattle for freshman orientation and thought we take a side trip to Alaska on the Infinity.

Kinda on a budget with cost of tuition, airline costs, hotels, etc... so was looking at the Inside Stateroom Guarantee rooms.

Looking for 2 rooms. I know you basically get whatever room is available.. but anyone had luck requesting the rooms at least be in the same area/level? hate to have the 2 rooms on different levels or one in the front and 1 in the back..

Thanks in advance!

That's the problem with a gty....you won't know where they assign you until AFTER they pick your cabins!

If you aren't ok with being separated, book specific cabin numbers...don't do the gty. booking. If you CAN be apart (even tho you don't want to be), then a GTY booking is a great way to save a few $$$!

You can always ask, and also, after you are assigned staterooms, if you see that there are still two cabins available that meet your needs better, you can call and ask for them, as long as they are in the same category, or you can also be put back into the guarantee pool.

a little bit confused... the July 6th cruise shows:

Inside stateroom GTY (continental deck) for $749

Inside stateroom guarantee for $649

so does this mean for $749..you are guaranteed on Continental Deck ... just not sure which cabin.. and for $649.. they can put you basically ANYWHERE on the ship?

Also... i see some prices go down to $399 just right before the cruise.... would I be able to obtain a price adjustment if this happens?

Sorry so much questions... this is my first cruise :)

Price adjustments cannot be made after final payment, which is typically 75 or so days before the cruise. The reason prices drop in the last few months is the line trying to fill the ship up.

I have read on here that after final payment, if a higher category goes on sale you can call and get a category upgrade as long as the new room still costs at least $1 more than the old room.
