afergvip Posted June 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2012 There will be 7 of us on the Disney Fantasy with 2 6 year old children, teenager and adults. I have found a private charter for 4 hours that goes to Stingray City, Starfish Beach and Rum Point Beach. Has anyone done a charter like this?? Also, i will be going in October with just 3 girls for a girls getaway.....would it be safe for just 3 girls to do a private charter??? Any info would be greatly appreciated! BeccaStorm Posted June 25, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2012 We LOVED the Stingray City Outrage Eco Tour. The boat is super nice and our captain was great. He was super good with the kids and it was so flexible with time. We did the full day so we also did the tubing which the kids had so much fun with. Stingrays and starfish are a once in a life time experience but we'd would do it again in a heartbeat!:p
dna1990 Posted June 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Just got back from doing the Outrage tour last week. Nothing fancy, but having the boat to yourselves is so nice. We stopped in town and bought some snacks for lunch. For us, it was very cloudy that day. But do note that the Outrage is a typical fishing t-top. Meaning not a great deal of shade for all seven guests. But we got to the stingrays before any of the large groups and had plenty of squid and direct contact with them (unlike the larger tours that later arrived). John Michael was very helpful and friendly. And yes, three gals would be safe with John Michael. Would John Michael be safe with you three gals? DEERINH2O Posted June 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2012 We did a private family tour with Nativeway and it was the best thing we ever did. They provided juice and snacks. We had 5 kids ages 10-15 and they said it was great all the individualized attention. Our son was the only boy and the two guys who ran the boat even let him drive it. It was a great day.
