Never been in the park cafe so I,m looking for any holiday snaps you might have taken in the cafe to see what kind of stuff they have?

I've heard they have crisps/chips?? :)

Cheers Ewan.

If you mean what we call "potato chips" here in the states, yes they have bags of chips available in Park Cafe.

On the previous cruises we have done with rccl the only potato chips! you could get whilst on board were a tube of Pringles that are wayyy over priced.

Just an observation!!

Don't have any pictures (snaps?) but as I recall, they offered:

Lunch: The main items are fantastic tossed-to-order salads, and hand carved roast beef sandwiches on little sandwich rolls with your choice of mustards/horseradish. They have chips (crisps) in individual bags. I think they may have also had some already-prepared sandwiches/wraps and maybe soup, but I'm don't recall specifically, as we always go the salads and/or roast beef sandwiches, which are yummy!

They also serve breakfast but I can't recall what all was offered. I know we enjoyed it though.

No pictures, but as you enter there is a salad bar with about 15 different items. You tell the server what you want and he mixes it in a bowl. Then there is the soup of the day followed by a sandwich and panini station. Finally there is a pastry selection and you choice of several different kinds of chips and "crisps" Standard free beverages, ice tea, lemonade coffee and tea. Specialty drinks available at additional charge. You can either eat in the Cafe or dine in Central Park but seating is limited and most times you must wait for a table.

I'm guessing it's the same rolls and roast beef I've had before from the cafe promenade on the freedom like ships?

And your right, yummy!!!

Sounds yummy, I take it the cafe promenade is just the same on the Oasis and Allure as on the freedom and voyager class?

Park Cafe and Cafe Promenade are two different things. Cafe Promendade are on all Voyager and above classes - they offer small sandwiches, pizza and pasteries. Park Cafe offers various breakfast items (breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit) and lunches of paninis, made to order salads, and the famous roast beef sandwiches.

We have gotten potato chips from room service on most every ship we have been on. Also in Park Cafe on the Allure and Oasis they have several different types of chips.

I remember getting Sunchips and original Lays potatoe chips there on my 5/27/12 cruise. I personally was disappointed with the salad. It would have been awesome except they drown them in salad dressing and they don't speak English so it's hard to tell them "light on the dressing".

That site has the most EXTENSIVE pictures of all the Allure venues that I have ever seen anywhere. I didn't even know that site existed, so again... THANK YOU!!!! :D:):o

LOVED the Park Café! They have salads, paninis, soups, lots of fruit (whole and cut up in cups), and chips. In the morning, they have breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast burrito that was actually quite good. It is only open until 6:00 (I think), and it got VERY busy as the week went on.

The Park Café is a busy place!!!

I don't "do" salads, but they have a made to order salad line. I stuck with the paninis and soups.

My favorite, favorite, favorite... the Cubano:

A few deserts... a peanut butter cookie that was very soft (yeay!) and a lemon tart that was very good:

The flavored waters are indeed delicious. Strawberry kiwi and lemonade:

It's been a while since I had a sandwich from a Cafe Promenade, but my recollection is that the fresh carved RB sandwiches at Park Cafe are better than anything offered at Cafe P.

Yes, as efields said, Park Cafe and Cafe Promenade are different. Park Cafe offers a selection of made to order items, as well as ready-to-go items. Cafe P, as I recall, has only ready-to-go items. Also, items at Cafe P are smaller, more along the lines of "snack" size, although you can certainly combine several little sandwiches or several pastries to make a quick lunch or breakfast. Park Cafe on the other hand, offers more of an actual meal set up, IMO.

Really enjoyed the fresh made to order salads at park cafe. The breakfast there was also quick and tasty. Bagels made to order in lieu of the salad bar and some amazing egg burritos. Yum!

Just to make sure I understand (I'll be a first time RCI cruiser in November): the Park Cafe is only on the bigger ships (like Oasis and Allure)...the Cafe Promenade is what is on other ships (I assume the Navigator of the Seas is a Voyager class that has a Cafe P)...is the Cafe P part of your food choices that are included in your cruise price, or is it like Johnny Rocket's where you pay a single price or pay a la carte for your selections?

Both Park Cafe and Cafe Promenade are complimentary venues, no additional charges. Cafe Promenade is on Voyager, Freedom, and Oasis class ships. Park Cafe is on Oasis class and is being added to most other ships as they go in for revitalization dry dock. So far Park Cafe has been added to Radiance, Splendour, Rhapsody, and Grandeur.
