fishin' musician Posted July 9, 2012 #26 Share Posted July 9, 2012 The Caribbean Princess will be at Princess Cays on 11/25, and the Ruby on 11/26. While Princess Cays can handle two smaller ships from other cruise lines, it can't handle two Grand Class ships at the same time. ETA: OP- go with the Emerald. You won't likely be disappointed. Do other cruiselines stop at Princess Cay?

KruzPrincess Posted July 10, 2012 #30 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Any day can be a sea day since you are not forced to leave the ship at any port (except for at the end of the cruise). Many people have posted that they greatly enjoying staying on board when in a port they have been before as the ship is not crowded at all while in port. You were responding to my post. Yes, indeed, that's true. I have gone on cruises where I never even got off the ship. However, sometimes those days in port are noisy or stinky depending on the port.....so I still prefer a sea day. Although, the ship is nice a quiet when everyone gets off. That can be a plus, too.
highheel girl Posted July 10, 2012 #31 Share Posted July 10, 2012 We've done the Emerald Princess itinerary twice. Does that tell you anything? Maybe it means you are ready for an NCL cruise. :p I do like the NCL iteniary.
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted July 10, 2012 #32 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Do other cruiselines stop at Princess Cay? Yes. After they schedule in Princess ships, they offer the off-days to other cruise lines. They did quite well with this two years ago, but last year the visits by other cruise lines' ships were way down. Dardreamer Posted July 10, 2012 #33 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Definitely Princess . We just booked the same itinerary for January. this past winter sailed to St. Kitts on Celebrity and I have to say it was the most beautiful beach there of all our 25 cruises! dorisis Posted July 10, 2012 #34 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Princess would be # 1 Unless NCL is giving free cruises i would pick Princess. That is a very personal choice. I have only been on 2 NCL cruises and they did not even come close to Princess. ~Doris~
Sanibel*Gal Posted July 10, 2012 #35 Share Posted July 10, 2012 I would go with the Princess itinerary - we did it last year and so far it is my favorite itinerary & we love the ship!! So.....we have booked it again for fall of next year!:D
Rare geoherb Posted July 10, 2012 #36 Share Posted July 10, 2012 I'd also take Princess over NCL. The itinerary is better to me with the stops in Antigua and St. Kitts plus the private island. I also read a recent review someone posted of her trip on an NCL ship on the Alaska board. She said the food wasn't great. (It did not matter as much to her as it would to me.)
