BillnBev Posted July 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2012 We are travelling with family and wondered whether we would be able to open up our balconies to join each other for a drink together. Is this possible on the aft baconies?
catl331 Posted July 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Yes, just ask the steward. The whole partition doesn't open, just about a 2 ft section so you can pass by.

PathfinderEss Posted July 9, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2012 We are travelling with family and wondered whether we would be able to open up our balconies to join each other for a drink together. Is this possible on the aft baconies? Yes, but only half of it. Realize the panel closest to the cabin is not flexible, only the piece against the rail. Not the whole thing. Just ask your steward. Typhoon1 Posted July 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Your steward will be happy to remove the panel for you.
sail7seas Posted July 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2012 The part that opens is about as wide as a door. It folds back onto the panel side. I've never seen the whole thing removed but I suppose they should be able to if the Captain/Chief approves. We've never asked for ours to be opened or removed but it isn't unusual for people to want access to their friends/family next to them.
