Can balcony partitions be opened on oosterdam?

We are travelling with family and wondered whether we would be able to open up our balconies to join each other for a drink together. Is this possible on the aft baconies?

Yes, but only half of it. Realize the panel closest to the cabin is not flexible, only the piece against the rail. Not the whole thing. Just ask your steward. Have fun on your cruise

The part that opens is about as wide as a door. It folds back onto the panel side. I've never seen the whole thing removed but I suppose they should be able to if the Captain/Chief approves.

We've never asked for ours to be opened or removed but it isn't unusual for people to want access to their friends/family next to them.
