DUHCAR Posted July 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Thought that this forum might be a good place to ask for recommendations of a good cruise that would cover Copenhagen, Stockholm, St. Petersburg plus more. I'm thinking that a ship would be a good way to cover these ports. Price or length not really a concern. Thanks in advance. Rare insidecabin Posted July 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2012 NCL, RCI, Celebrity, all do regular runs through the season April-Oct. Might depend where you want to start/end. the keyword when searing options is "Baltic"
Talisker92 Posted July 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2012 We took a Princess 10 day cruise of the Baltic in 2010 round trip from Copenhagen. One thing we made sure of was that the ship called at Oslo. To miss Frogner Park and the Veigeland sculptures would be a shame. The ship also called at St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, Gdansk, and Tallin
DUHCAR Posted July 15, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Thanks. I think that NCL is the best of the four but will need to do further research.
firstfamilycruise Posted July 17, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2012 We cruised NCL Sun and it hit the big ports. It was 11 days out of Dover, but I think the itinerary has been changed to a nine day out of Copenhagen. Yes, it is a shame to miss Norway; however, it gives a good excuse to do another cruise. We really enjoyed the cruise, the ports and the excursions through NCL. The food was plentiful and most of it was good. (We were travelling with a 3 and 5 year old, so the buffet was our go-to place for meals) Have a great time. It's a wonderful part of the world!
