CruisinNole Posted July 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2012 Is anyone familiar with a tour company that would pick cruise passengers up at the airport, take them on a couple of hours of touring in Rome (Trevi Fountain, Coliseum) and then take them to the port in Civitavecchia? I have friends who will just have a few hours in Rome before their cruise departs and they'd like to see as much as possible. They're an older couple who would feel more comfortable having someone drive them rather than taking the train.
paul929207 Posted July 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2012 If you scroll thru the other posting on this section, you will see discussion of tour guides and car services. I haven't used any, so will not name one
CruisinNole Posted July 18, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted July 18, 2012 I have checked a number of the tour companies, a couple of which I've used, however, none that I have checked do this type of transfer. They will pick you up at the airport and take you to the cruise port but I haven't been able to find one that will do some touring in Rome before departing for the cruise port. hylasgirl Posted July 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Yes, we've used Romeinlimo for this same service. There is a thread with many recommendations. It is a nice way to see a few things before cruising.

We've used Rome in Limo and thought they were terrific. I didn't see anything like this on their website. I'll email them and see what they can arrange. Thanks. tipsygirl Posted July 20, 2012 #13 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Our travel agent recommended BobsLimos.com. Bob is an American living in Rome. He does tours as well as transfers. You can get details on pricing at the website and also submit a request for service.
