Work to travel Posted July 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2012 We are very interested in the itinerary of this cruise but wonder about weather and temperatures in November in Greece and Turkey? Also would appreciate information regarding the ship. I know it is due to be refurbished so wonder about current condition. Thanks!

Also would appreciate information regarding the ship. I know it is due to be refurbished so wonder about current condition. Thanks! We were on for 31 days; from 11/15 to 12/16/2011 - Athens to FLL. The ship is fine. Prior to this we had already cruised on her more than 100 days. As for weather, I never care. It is what it is. If you want to go somewhere, that shouldn't be your criteria. bcnvcanada Posted July 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2012 This is one place that we have often missed while cruising, once beacuse of a storm in Turkey, that keep us from departing on time, twice becase of bad weather, once we were to dock, the second time at anchor. However, we did make it to the island, once on a Greek ferry for a week stay and once on a cruise ship.
Pam in CA Posted July 21, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2012 We are very interested in the itinerary of this cruise but wonder about weather and temperatures in November in Greece and Turkey? The Eastern Med can be very much like southern CA. I've taken several cruises there in October, including late October, and temps were moderate with little rain. By moderate, they were in the 70's and sunny. November is well past tourist season in this part of the world and chances are you won't have the crowds in some places that you would in September. On the other hand, some places pretty much close up due to lack of tourists. For instance, Santorini is pretty dead by mid-October with few shops or restaurants open.
