None of the main dining rooms were open on any port days, only sea days.

I came off Ruby earlier this month. I cannot remember the dining room being open on embarkation day.

And the map of the ship given to you at check-in will have a note inviting you to each lunch in a dining room (although it will not say which one or what time).
