Rare Woobstr112G Posted August 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Good morning all. I have a question about forward facing balconies such as Cabin 10506 on the Star. I know there is a side balcony but do they allow access to the forward facing balcony while the ship is underway? On some Princess ships, they lock the balcony doors and don't allow you out on your own balcony when the ship is underway.
mpk218 Posted August 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Absolutely . You can be out there anytime . We were in 10006 and the only thing you need to remember is to close the drapes so the light does not interfer with the bridge at night. We watched the stars at night while under way. Great suite.. ;)

If the butler shows up and enters your suite, the wind tunnel effect will send everything not nailed down flying. John
GrandmaHofmann Posted August 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Owners suites have a side balcony that can't be opened when you are underway if that is what you are talking about. In general regular balcony cabins are small on NCL. We always get a mini-suite on NCL even though we go with balconies on other lines.

All balcony doors can be opened at any time during the cruise. Although there may be some limitations put on the forward facing balconies during inclement weather.
