Monte Carlo debarkation- August 2013

As a long time lurker and SS customer, I have become very well aware that there are always helpful opinions from CC'ers that can give me direction on issues with which I may not be familiar. The question:

 

We will end our cruise on the Cloud next August in Monte Carlo. The best possible connections back to Nashville, Tn. are either BA/AA through Heathrow/Chicago or KLM/Delta/through Amsterdam/Atlanta. I am sure that someone on the board has had experience with both and could offer advice as to which airport/airline/ connections would be the best choice.

Definitely Amsterdam! Avoid Heathrow at all costs! In my experience Delta beats BA. I am sure there will be other experiences.

And avoid O'HARE at all costs! It's a nightmare. GO DELTA!

Can you possibly fly through Dulles? At the end of our cruise on the Cloud this past May, we flew Nice to Paris to Dulles on Air France/Delta and were pleased with the flights and connections.

Thanks for the comments. We looked at connecting through Washington, but would have to change airports.

 

Looks like Delta/KLM from here. Duct Tape, we will be on Cloud 9/23 from Venice to BCN. We look forward to your updates.
