Check seatguru.com to find out details of plane seats, each seat is reviewed and lists positives and negatives. Best for legroom, without paying extra, are the twos at the back, if in a 3, 5, 3 seat configuration. You get the same space as a row of three, but can sit together as a couple.

My preference is the window seat. I like to look at the view, and I feel like the window seat has a little more elbow room than the aisle (with people and carts going past), so it's best for sleeping. I hate airplane lavatories and avoid using them whenever possible. On short flights (a couple of hours) I can wait till we get to our destination. On longer flights I may have to go just once.

 

Exactly the way I feel.
