Tip for Vancouver Train

We came back from Vancouver today. Our flight was early morning (8:30) and we left our hotel around 5:30. We had scoped out the train station on Saturday. Unfortunately, we did not realize that the station on Cordova Street did not open that early on Sunday mornings. The security guard who helped show us how to buy tickets did not mention it either.

There were street people out trying to get a buck or two misdirected us to the Waterfront Station down Cordova. When we got there, it was also closed. I asked a hotel doorman and he directed us up to the Waterfront Station at Hastings and Granville.

Sorry you got confused Geoherb, but just to clarify for anyone else - there is only one Waterfront Station, but it does have multiple entrances. Since the CANADA LINE SKYTRAIN to the airport starts running before 5am daily, but the other lines don't operate until after 5:30am weekdays, 6:30am on Saturdays, 7:30am Sundays/Holidays, they only open the entrance providing easiest access to the Canada Line first thing in the morning.

The Cordova Street entrance to Waterfront Station opens well before the first trains on the other lines depart.
