breakdown of nights on a 15-nighter

We're on the 15-night Holy Land cruise at the end of September, just got our final documents and they say we should expect 2 formal nights, ok, I would have guessed 3 but 2 is fine. What breakdown should we expect for the other 13? 8-5 informal-casual, 7-6, 5-8? We've noticed a slow trend towards casual and have undershot on that the last couple of cruises and taken too much informal wear.

On our recent 17 night Baltic/Norway cruise, most of the evening dress was jackets (no ties) for men and nice dresses for women and 2 formal nights. Most of the passengers seem to dress up for dinner. Casual dress was mostly first and last night of cruise.

For sure the first and last evenings will be casual with one maybe two casual evenings in between. With the exception of the 2 formal evenings stated in your cruise docs, all the rest will be elegant casual.

Keep in mind that jackets requested really means jacket required. On the casual evenings, however, you may dress up a little more if that is what you prefer.

Ah super - thanks to all. We're most often SS cruisers and our rule of thumb is that once you take the formal nights out, SS normally splits the rest about evenly into casual and elegant, clearly SB does it a little differently, which is fine, we'll load up a bit more on the jackets and leave some of the casual wear behind.

Rather like dressing for dinner myself, so that's to be looked forward to. .

So the actual breakdown is somewhat different. 2 formal nights, as expected, but for casual, not just the first and last night, but a full 7 of the 15 are casual and only 6 are elegant casual. That's more like what we've seen recently on Silversea also and .. means we brought too many suits and not enough casual .. never mind, it's a lower bound, we can always be a little more dressy.

If you're on Deck 10 it's so easy to run into the Observation Lounge in the morning and grab a cup of coffee instead of waiting for room service.

If you are taking it back to your suit I would suggest walking back instead of running or else you might spill it.:)
