Evening shows on the Celebrity Eclipse

We are cruising on the Eclipse again next week.

 

Our one criticism last year was the timings of the evening shows. 7pm & 9.30pm.

This is the first of several cruise lines we have travelled with that second sitting diners have to go to a 7pm show. We have always gone to a 10.30pm after dinner show, but for some reason Celebrity don't have one.

 

Most people we spoke to preferred a later show, as if spending the day ashore

it's too much of a rush to go to an early show or early dinner.

 

Does anyone know if it is still the same?

This is an excellent post and one that I have concerns about as to when the shows are. I have read conflicting information and I wonder if the times of the shows differ as to whether the ship is in European or Caribbean waters.

The show timing depends less on the itinerary than on whether the night is formal or not.

 

On formal nights, the shows are times to follow both seatings' dinners.

 

On non-formal nights, the early seating goes to a show after dinner, while the late seating goes before dinner.

 

Ther may also be an additional show of some sort later in the evening as well, as occurred one night in st. Petersburg when a Russian folkloric troupe did a late show.
