cruisealert Posted August 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2012 We are finishing up a cruise on Mariner on December 6th in Buenos Aires:). Our Regent Air flight departs BA at 10PM and is a great flight direct to DFW. Does anyone have any ideas of what Regent usually does for its clients between 9AM disembarkation and 8PM when we need to get to the airport? Do they arrange a communal room at a hotel to hold bags and let passengers relax in some comfort and/or arrange an excursion if requested. We get in the morning before and spend the night in BA, so we will have seen part of BA. Would just like to walk around the city and not have to worry about our bags. It is a fascinating city, so this extra day is a real plus to us.
attawaytogo Posted August 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2012 We are on the same cruise tho do not have our flight details. Appears that flights all leave late and we have the same questions.
Travelcat2 Posted August 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2012 When we had a late flight out of Rio a couple of years ago, Regent had a room set up at a hotel where we could leave our luggage, sit and relax. Although not ideal, it was better than nothing. On a recent cruise, most flights leaving Dubai were in the early hours of the morning and Regent gave their passengers with Regent Air their own room. So, one way or the other, they should take care of you.

Some day we will meet aboard a Regent Cruise. Thanks for your very helpful & frequent postings
wripro Posted August 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Just as a word of caution of your flight is at 10PM I would get to the airport way before 8. EZE is a very busy place and it could take a lot of time to clear security etc. jmo

Some day we will meet aboard a Regent Cruise. Thanks for your very helpful & frequent postings Yes, we were booked on this cruise (lovely itinerary). Last December, while onboard the Voyager, Regent had an offer for "double loyalty nights". We cancelled all cruises and booked new ones. In place of this cruise, we will be on a transatlantic Mariner cruise next March. Hope you're right and that we meet onboard a Regent (or Silversea?) cruise:)
alexandra cruiser Posted August 29, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2012 we looked on internet hotel sites,,called the hotel hotline directly,,asked for "day room rates",,,think it was about $80,,but a few yrs, ago,,,whatever it was WORTH it. We got off ship with luggage, took taxi to hotel, then went sightseeing, had dinner, rested, took shower, etc,,,then off to airport.Great...:)

We will follow any guidelines Regent provides, and they err on the conservative side, so we may be having dinner at the airport. Hope they have a good steak restaurant there;)
DeepFreeze63 Posted August 30, 2012 #9 Share Posted August 30, 2012 Hi: My experience at EZE was that United and Delta didn't start check-in until 3 hours prior to departue. Check with your airline. If you aren't being transfered by Regent, be advised that downtown traffic is madness on a week day and there are frquently demonstrations about something. Check with the hotel concierge.
