Lou33 Posted September 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2012 We will bring our USA passports with us when we board the ship. But will we need them when we go onshore in Canada? I was thinking of leaving them in our safe and bringing a photo copy with us.
Lulu51 Posted September 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2012 I can't think of any reason you would need it, do you intend to rent a car if so I assume you have other identification.

AAAAmerican Posted September 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Dear Lou33, Having a Xerox Copy is a wise way. Photo ID .:D As sometimes The Murphy's are always around. We always carry a copy ashore. In your luggage also keep copies so if somehow the Murphy's visit those you have a much better chance of a comeback visit. We will bring our USA passports with us when we board the ship. But will we need them when we go onshore in Canada? I was thinking of leaving them in our safe and bringing a photo copy with us. dsw39 Posted September 4, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2012 You only need to carry a passport if you feel you will be late for your sailing. You will need it to leave the country or fly to your next destination. If you are on a cruiseship excursion, you are ok. A private tour would be the only time you may be late. But usually never happens. We keep them in the safe and carry a copy for id only Dave
