Private shuttle/taxi's for Venice

Does anyone know of private shuttle or taxi service that can accomodate 7-9 people in the Venice area? There are 7 of us arriving early in the morning after all night flights and need transportation to the Piazale Roma. We are planning on leaving our luggage at the storage area at the Piaza, while we spend 2 nights pre-cruise at a hotel in the main part of Venice. Then 2 days later there will be 9 of us needing transportation with all of our luggage from the Piazale Roma to the San Basilio Terminal to board the Wind Surf for our cruise. I know of the city transportation from airport to the Piaza and the people mover to the cruise port, but it sounds kind of cumbersome with all or our luggage. With our small group, it might work out to be not that much more for private transportation. Any info would be appreciated!

I would probably just take the ATVO Airport Express bus...

However, if you really want to book a driver etc. then these guys seem reliable and affordable from what I've read on the forums here...

The people mover doesn't go to San Basilio. A regular land taxi can go there. It's about a 2 minute drive but inconvenient any other way. If you don't mind the cost, the better way is water taxi to your hotel with your luggage both from the airport and to San Basilio. Especially recommended as you will be tired. 4 in one taxi and 5 in another is a great way to get into Venice. Any other way is penny wise and pound foolish IMO.

Water taxi is the same price regardless of the number of people. [edited to note: the link below indicates a surcharge of 10 Euro per person for each person after the first five. However, they claim they can handle 10 people with 12 suitcases.]

From the airport to a hotel in town you should figure about 100 Euro. From a hotel to the San Basilio port would be about half that, give or take depending on the distance.

Water taxis can hold 8 - 10 people without luggage, but with luggage you're going to need two for your group.

If you are going to Piazzale Roma from the airport- take the bus. It is 6 euros (went up in price) per person and there are two buses that go to Piazzale Roma- one is orange and you have to step up onto it with your luggage or you can do the Blue Bus that has luggage storage underneath. Both run about every 20-30 minutes. There is no tipping to the driver allowed. Don't do it- they almost look insulted.

6x 7= 42, which is going to be cheaper than taxi' ing 7 people in a van. The taxi fare will be about 40-45 Euros for a sedan (more for a van) and then they charge per bag.

If you aren't staying in Piazzale Roma area then it makes sense to store your bags there and walk to your hotel sans luggage.

The San Basilio terminal can be reached by taxi from Piazzale Roma- you could send one person in a taxi with all the luggage and the rest of you can walk. It is a short distance from Piazzale Roma. I know a taxi driver will charge a ridiculous amount. It will probably be 20 Euros for the taxi to go one mile to the ship. So if you have roller bags and are strong- you can walk.
