Grand Turk Ruby Princess in January

We are a family of five which includes 3 adult children and we will be cruising on the Ruby Princess in January to Grand Turk. The ship is scheduled to be in port 1pm-7pm which seems an odd time with daylight savings time. Also a Carnival ship will also be there, 11am-5pm. This will be the last port of our cruise. I am wondering if the pool/beach area at the cruise center will be crowded when we arrive making it difficult to find seating together. Would you recommend we reserve a cabana? We do not snorkel but do enjoy the water. I would like suggestions for a nice relaxing day for our last port day.
