Travel Insurance for Back to back cruises

When buying travel insurance for back to back cruises do you buy one policy covering both cruises or two policies covering each cruise separately?

On our recent 4b2b we had insurance for each leg. This is the way our TA recommended. Thank goodness we did not need to use it.

I was in Europe for almost 6 weeks in May and June - including two 12-night cruises. One policy covered the entire trip from the day I left home to the day I returned.

Go to: insuremytrip.com and price it both ways to see what works best for you. I take enough cruises that it pays me to get a yearly policy that covers medical and evacuation.

After posting that question, I called Insuremytrip dot com. They said for back to back cruises you buy insurance to cover from the time you walk out the front door of your home until you return home. One policy covering the entire trip. When I book my airfare I call them, give my policy number and the cost of the flights and they add that amount to the policy and of course they bill for the increase in policy costs.
