Annabanana3 Posted September 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2012 If on NCL website it sais that we arrive in port at 8:00am on lets say day 4 of 12, does this mean we actually arrive in port at 8:00am or is this the time we can disembark from the ship? It also say that diembarkment starts 2 hours after the ship arrives in port. Is this for the final day of the cruise or for every port we arrive at? The 8:00 is approximately when you'll arrive at the port. The 2 hours is for the day of debarkation. But rarely is it as long as two hours after arrival (usually less than 2 hrs). willysgrandma Posted September 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2012 I've been in plenty of ports where the ship arrived late - it is an estimate of when the ship gets in and you are permitted off the ship usually within 30-45 minutes once the ship is in. When I cruised to Alaska, we were late in nearly every port, in one case over 2 hours late and there wee near riots with people who insisted on lining up to get off the ship 2 hours before it even got into port. Our last cruise we waited for tender tickets the night before and were given 1 through 6 for tendering and that was right after excursuons and I am not platinum. We were the first in line in cozumel. rvsullivan Posted September 26, 2012 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Suites/VIP's get off first and NCL tours, then tenders 1 through 6 or so, after about the first 4 tenders, nobody cares too much. Platinum can go with VIP's if they talk to the concierge. They don't make an announcement for Platinum just as they don't announce suites, too much aggravation if they did.
