Flights to Venice

Just about to Book a cruise for next year. Worried about the flights. Should I book Birmingham to Venice or Manchester to Venice with Royal Caribbean package. Worried if it goes direct or not ? Anyone know ? Thanks

Good luck with a Direct flight with a Cruise Line! Its not often they do that

 

Last time I booked air with a cruiseline for a flight to Barcelona, they had us flying to Munich and then onto Barcelona:eek: Suffice to say cancelled the flight and booked a 2 hour direct flight from a local airport!

JET2.com has a good flight to Venice Marco Polo from Manchester, around 2 hours and leaves at approx 7:30am.

BHX-VCE or MAN-VCE Is almost certainly a direct flight.

Monarch operate flights from both airports

We have sailed from Venice three times now

Twice we have booked flights with Royal Caribbean.

Both times the the flights were with Jet 2 and were direct flights from Manchester.

 

The only time we booked our own flights to Venice it was a nightmare! The flight was delayed and we then had to go via Frankfurt. A flight that should have been 2hours eventually took us 11hours!!

We probably just unlucky .

Jet2 from Manchester direct. Fly in the day before and extend your stay if possible. Usually it's cheaper than using the cruiseline and you have a longer holiday. There are some inexpensive hotels just a bus ride away from the main area with free shuttle service to the port. Check out the Europe boards.

Ive booked the package. Feel safer as your covered if anything goes wrong. Had enough of doing my own thing when we got stuck in Thailand with the ash cloud. :(
