I would hate to have ordered one thinking its free and then having it show up on my s&s bill :-( the menu had the price next to these in clear print. You cant miss the prices if you are looking at the dessert menu and not ordering from memory.
waiting4acruise Posted October 9, 2012 Author #29 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Do you check a bag at the airport? Do you fill your tires with air at the gas station? I'm just sayin', there's a lot of things that used to be free that aren't free anymore. My employer pays my checked bag fee. I go to a place the puts air in my tires for free. cvpends Posted October 9, 2012 #30 Share Posted October 9, 2012 we were sold the bill of goods that this would be on the ships instialling new machines as they rolled out the brunch. we were to accept that this would be a better quality blend put through these new machines. another lie. If the cappuccinos were better, it might all be worth it. Unfortunately, they are now worse, IMO.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted October 9, 2012 #31 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Yea i know .. remember, I was on conquest the week before you boarding and invited your wife along if she wanted a free cruise. dont hold your hopes too high for the brunch. the last one they did a stupid interview.. asked him where he went to school, what job did he used to have (who the heck cares, never heard of cowboy bill). who whined about not being able to finish his sherbert before he had to come talk to us.. he finally told ONE joke.. and sat back down. It was so totally stupid, hard to believe. George Lopez supposedly picked him didn't he? BRILLIANT!:D Bill
Mulege Posted October 9, 2012 #32 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Why can't they just make a decent cup of coffee in the Lido? I still can't understand why management has not addressed this. I guess they want us to buy the for charge coffee in the coffee shop.

MrPete Posted October 9, 2012 #35 Share Posted October 9, 2012 I thought I read they were rolling out a new better blend after the survey said most thought the coffee was awful.
Sparky2 Posted October 9, 2012 #36 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Guess I'll skip the Cappuccino in the future. Actually, on my past cruise it was quite bitter so I don't think I'll miss it.

okgirl Posted October 9, 2012 #38 Share Posted October 9, 2012 I agree. If I am spending thousands of dollars on a vacation and I want a coffee that costs three dollars I will get it regardless of whether it used to be free or not. Times are changing. The economy is crap and companies have to find ways to be more profitable. Having taken a land vacation where a can of soda was almost five dollars and an average meal for two averaged over $100 I thinks its ridiculous to complain about $2 coffee. I wouldn't call it ridiculous.........for me (I was on the Conquest with G last week too...hiya Terry)....I was disappointed that yet another thing that has been free in the past is now being charged for....There are many things that I enjoy when they are free, but I wouldn't consider paying for. Case on point is the Slot tournament...it was a free perk for Platinums and most of the time we entered and sister even won once, but now that it's BOGO....sorry my odds are better at a Hot Shot machine. Ah this sucks! I hope they are at least informing customers before they order. I would hate to have ordered one thinking its free and then having it show up on my s&s bill :-( That's not the only thing that you have to be careful of.........several times after returning to our cabin from an evening of gambling and adult beverages at the casino bar I noticed that MANY of the drinks that we were served were made (or at least rung up as) being made with top shelf liqour.......I didn't really pay any attention at the time of ordering because after the 1st few drinks ordering "well" spirits, I assume that when I asking for a refill they would continue to be made will Skyy or whatever.....not true.........be carefull and specify and check your receipt before signing.......... cruisetexas Posted October 9, 2012 #39 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Dinner dessert menu on the Triumph last week listed cappuccino at $2.95 except on formal night where there was no charge listed. Didn't order it, but wondered if it was an 'old' menu without the charge or just that night.

firefly333 Posted October 9, 2012 #41 Share Posted October 9, 2012 George Lopez supposedly picked him didn't he? BRILLIANT!:D Bill I actually liked the eggs over the chicken quesidillas (why do they put it on the menu in spanish?? I finally figured out they had eggs on the menu, but its in spanish too). The food was good .. the comedy .. a couple of jokes the first one.. one joke the 2nd one.. went to two for the food. At Noon it was deserted.. dont go right at 9, they said almost every goes right when it opens...
