Toiletries

Recommended Posts

As far as I have been able to find out, the "products" on RCI ships have been replaced by a dispenser on the wall of the shower for shampoo (shampoo/conditioner?) and maybe shover gel. There is soap on the hand basin. It seems that they no longer supply small bottles. I think that there may not be cotton balls, earbuds etc either. We will be on Radiance in a couple of weeks so I will check then. There is a thread about this; it may be on the RCI board. It seems rather cheap to me as checking out what is supplied is a little joy (tragic I know :o)

Others who have sailed recently may be able to give a better answer.

Hi,

We sailed on Radiance earlier this year in a balcony cabin.

There was just small guest soaps for the basin & liquid dispenser in the shower.

If you are in a junior suite or higher grade cabin I believe you get additional toiletries.

Personally though I wouldn't use them if they were provided (apart from a general body moisturiser maybe) as I use specific skin care products & shampoo etc suited to my skin & hair type.

I would also assume more women would feel this way than men who are quite often happy to use anything within reach.:D

Any toiletries provided for free in hotels or cruise ships are generally not of a particularly high quality I find.

We also take our own normal size cake of soap as we prefer a cake soap to liquid & the little size cakes of soap can be fiddly.:)

Thank goodness I have a lifetime's supply of shower caps, as I use them in the shower.

I agree with Aussieflyer, I used to love checking out the quality toiletries supplied.

Any left overs from travels went into a charity basket for a women's refuge centre.
