My Husband is extremely concerned he will not be able to watch the formula one 19th November USA and 26th November Brazil.

We will be on Radiance of the Seas touring New Zealand

Does anybody know if it will be possible to watch these races while on board

TV offerings on the ship are sketchy....he should record the race at home, in case it's not shown. No guarantees of any programming.

He is my type of guy. If you have a DVR and a broadband connection why not get a sling-box for him. You can tape the race and watch it from an internet cafe at one of your stops. By skiping the commercials you can get the race time down to 1 Hour. Don't ask how I know.

Can't speak for NZ cruises 100%, but every ship I have been on has ESPN international. So if you check their broadcast schedule, at least you'll know if there is a chance.

 

I'd still record it as a backup plan, though.

Sports programming is quite limited aboard the ship. Don't hold your hopes too high and enjoy the cruise. Dvr is your friend. ;)

I've watched F1 Singapore on Indy in the Med..... was on a German channel and sheer good luck that we caught it..... recording it just isn't the same is it... especially running the risk of picking up the result by accident before viewing. Good luck!!

The TV channel selection on cruise ships is about the worst I have ever seen.

Don't expect to watch it, but you never know...

I can almost guarantee he will not be able to see it. I don't know the New Zealand Channels though. Record it at home, and have a friend do it also, just in case of a power outage or something. Maybe this is why my husband always wants to cruise in January. :) Next year when NBC has the rights, it might be easier to catch it on board.
