Disappointed by Valor

I just got of the Valor.

This was my fifth Carnival cruise.

While I will cruise with Carnival again I will avoid Valor.

I'd be interested with your reasons as well. We sailed the Valor in 2008, our first cruise, and are looking to sail her again next year.

Sorry you had a bad cruise. We spend so much time building up to enjoying one week of hard earned vacation and fun, that it is truly disappointing when things dont quite measure up. But may I ask why you were so disappointed?

Just got off the Valor myself. Had a wonderful experience. Didn't even bother me that many venues were closed due to private functions. Sorry you had a bad experience.

We've sailed her twice....and she is the first vessel we consider when we book. Decided to try Fantasy because the drive is shorter. Sorry that your cruise wasn't all you had hoped for.

I too, have sailed "Valor" a number of times, and have never had a disappointment with my Valor Cruises. I'm anxiously awaiting the reasons for your displeasure. :confused:

Just got off the Valor yesterday. I loved the ship...the layout, the decor, and our room stewards. I will confess that the wait staff was not up to par, they were very nice and tried hard, but we had too much of a language gap.

Doesn't look like the OP wants to elaborate. I personally think you will like it. It's my favorite ship so far

Our last two cruises were on the Valor. Even booked the same room both times. So far, this has been our favorite ship. Our next cruise is on the Freedom and I hope we enjoy it as much as the Valor. Unless the OP can give valid reasons, I wouldn't worry about your New Year's sailing.

Valor was a pleasant surprise a couple of weeks ago. Truth be told, we had expected far less, given Carnival's recent performance.

We were on the Valor this past Feb and thought it was one of the better cruises we have been on.

That is great to hear as both my Wife and I need this break. Lets face it though .... A bad day on a cruise beats a good day in this sand box

 

We both very much have enjoyed the Freedom and to tell the truth all the cruises except one and that still wasn't that bad

Valor had a large...large...single's group over Halloween.

 

Some of them were NOT happy with the food (I read their comments), slow dining room service

 

with such a large group there were bound to be some crowds, venues closed,

or friction JMO

I was on 10-13, and it was perfect!! Our wait staff was probably the most efficient we ever had, and I can't think of one thing to complain about. We even saw Elvis!!! (he sucked)
