Shes like good call guys, this is the BEST rum cake ever, I send it home all the time.
erniesband Posted November 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2012 Agapey chocolate, made on the island, sold at Taste of Barbados in the terminal. Same place that sells the rum cake. Mount Gay rum , the good stuff - higher proof and aged, is sold at the distillery.
aimodels Posted November 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2012 If you like hot sauce - try Amanda's Bajan Pepper Sauce - nice mix of flavor and heat. Cheers, P:)
MAGNUM PI Posted November 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2012 I concur with the previous postings--recommending RUM CAKE as a souvenier. It comes in a variety of several sizes, making wonderful, small, inexpensive gifts. (easily positioned in suitcases). IMO, the quality of the rum cake varies greatly, so consider that when purchasing. There are tons of touristy souveniers, in an adjacent building to the pier. You will find Barbados printed on any item that you can imagine, of course.
aimodels Posted November 13, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2012 You can always check out the local artists at Pelican Village, which is just south of the south port gates by the roundabout. Cheers, P:)
