b2b and changing rooms

Have done several b2bs, but always had the same room. This time we have different rooms. Anyone have any hints to make the change easier. Thanks

Talk to your stateroom attendant on the second cruise. They may be able to clean your new stateroom early so you can get into it when you come back from customs.

We just did our first b2b and also had to change rooms.

We told our cabin attendant that we were doing a b2b and changing cabins, he said he would move all our things. We were told to leave things on the hangers and just pack up everything else.

The day before the start of week 2, we went to talk to our new cabin attendant to introduce ourselves and let her know what cabin we would be in.

The only glitch we had was the ship was sick with NORO and we could not get into our old cabin and no one was allowed into their cabins until 4 pm, so we were homeless for the day!!!

All of our things were moved just as they promised.

I agree that going over to meet your new cabin attendant is a good idea. We made arrangements to just go in that morning after the former passengers had left to put our valuables in the safe.

Then, we took off for the day.

When you pack your items, put the souvenirs in one suitcase. That way you can just leave them in it, put the case under the bed, and sort out the packing for the trip home later. We also put all the toiletries in one backpack or carry-on. It's easier for putting the bathroom together in the new cabin.

We've had to move to new cabins three times, with one being an upgrade. Not really a problem at all.

We’ve had to change cabins on 2 different B2B cruises. As suggested, hang everything you can. The room attendant will move all the hanging items, along with the other items you’ve placed in the suitcases. We were able to meet the new cabin attendant and he had our cabin ready before the others in his section. We were all unpacked and in the new cabin by 9 or so.

Now – it was easy for us as we only packed for one cruise and had items laundered, or wore them again on the second cruise.

The best feeling is knowing you can stay onboard while others are dreading the trip home/back to work etc.

After the customs walk through, grab a seat at your favorite place and enjoy the leisure day.

We have our laptop and had our usual free connection, as well as free cell service while in turnaround (US) port. We actually found it favorable to check in at our business to take care of issues and enjoy the second cruise. We cruise often and many of our clients don’t know we are out of the office let alone on a cruise ( and that is the way we like it)

ENJOY the B2B

Thanx for all the information and tips. I usually pack in cubes, so all i have to do is zip them up and worry about shoes and the bathroom stuff. Just got our room for the second week, and it is only down the hall. I'm ready to go
