Any more details on the fatal dune buggy accident in Cozumel over the weekend?

There is a news story if you google it but not much info other than they were in Cozumel with RCCL on a private excursion and two people died. A friend of their's was driving and he is in jail in Mexico while the accident is being investigated.

I live in Central Florida and we're still getting a pretty sketchy story. Apparently, the couple was on a sand buggy rental from paraiso (sp?) that was driven by a friend of theirs. It appears they were in a "caravan" of buggies. For some reason, theirs went into a guardrail and the couple were killed instantly. The driver has been released from jail and is back in Florida. It is a very tragic story for everyone involved.

Just got a little more info on the evening news here, and the couple were planning to marry in the near future and were traveling with a group of about 30 friends on an annual event. Everyone is devastated, and now they are reporting that the "steering wheel froze up", according to reporting on wftv in Orlando.

Can you imagine being the driver? It would be absolutely devastating to be in an accident where your friends are killed, only to be carted off to jail. Oh my heart just breaks for everyone involved.

So sad but the logical side of the brain wants to know more about the accident itself. I've seen the caravan on a couple of occasions and they just don't seem to be going very fast....
