lakes15 Posted November 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Has anyone taken the catamaran turtle excursion & beach break from the Emerald princess, they say they serve complimentary beverages, does that mean beer, etc. We can't drink rum punch. This is the one that doesn't seve lunch. We are going to Barbados in Jan. 2013..
John Bull Posted November 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Not via Princess, but probably the same excursion/operator. An excellent half-day catamaran excursion. Very short (walkable?) bus transfer between ship & catamaran. Two spots for snorkelling (one at the reef, stacks of colourful sea-life, plenty of little turtles), & a third spot - choice of beach or more snorkelling. Smart clean & modern catamaran, friendly safe & efficient crew. Equipment supplied. Yes, I know some folk freak out about supplied equipment , but IMHO salt sea-water is a cure-all - or you can bring your own. They wisely served only soft drinks until the snorkelling was over. Then they added rum punch - sorry, too busy trying the punch to notice whether they served beer, but certainly soft drinks (fruit juices, etc) throughout. One of the few ship's excursions that we've done, and I'd recommend it.
