Caribbean Princess or Ruby Princess

Hi All! It looks like I will have the opportunity to finally book a Princess cruise in the near future. :D My choices will be on either the Caribbean Princess or the Ruby Princess. I need you Princess veterans to give me your thoughts on both...which would be the better of the two. I'm interested in ports of call on both, so the itinerary is not a concern...just need to know which ship I should sail!

Both are great ships.

 

The Caribbean Princess was the first one to have the additional passenger deck added to the Grand class. The Ruby is the same size and is currently the newest ship in the Princess fleet.

 

Some differences:

a) The International Cafe was added in a retrofit to the caribbean Princess and thus does not have the gelato (3 scoops for $1.50) that the Ruby has.

 

b) The Ruby has the Adagio lounge on deck 16, a quiet place to relax and read with a piano player or other live music in the evening. The Caribbean does not have this venue. Sabatini's is next to the Adagio lounge on the Ruby anmd on deck 7 on the Caribbean.

 

c) Skywalkers has the "shopping cart handle" on the Caribbean but is located next to the elevators on the Ruby.

 

d) All four of the aft elevators on the Ruby go to the aft (traditional) dining room and to Skywalkers. On the Caribbean, only two of the aft elevators go there.

 

e) Caribbean has the cigar lounge on deck 6 near the Princess Theater. On the Ruby it is next to the Casino near the atrium.

 

f) The Ruby has an ADA elevator to the sanctuary. The caribbean does not.

 

 

You can have a great cruise on either ship.

Is the OS suite exactly the same including the veranda? A753 on CB specifically.
