JAKUEHNLE Posted December 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2012 There are two cruise ship terminals in Roatan, Coxen Hole and Mahogany Bay. Mahogany Bay is used mainly by Carnival and Princess Cruise Lines. Coxen Hole is used by Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Princess Cruise Lines. Where will Riviera dock?

vaitape Posted December 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2012 THANKS! Do ships anchor or can they dock at Mahogany Bay? Our booklet says anchor but it sure would be better if Regatta can dock.

roothy123 Posted December 11, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2012 In March on Marina we docked at MB. The port area is small, and few excursion operators are allowed inside, so there's a little bit of a walk from where you dock to where you meet vendors for tours, car rentals, etc. (Not sure about ship's excursions, though, as they might be different.) Just walk through the shop, little "village" and head out the gates and down the hill. It takes about 5-15 minutes depending upon how fast you walk. There's a little beach with umbrellas (possibly for rent - don't know), plus a duty free shop and little ski lift type thing right at the dock, plus the duty free shop and a few other shops/vendor kiosks. When returning you to the docking area, all vendors are allowed to take you to the gates, so it's a little easier.
