Looking for a beach suggestion for people in 20's

Going to be in Grand Cayman next week on a cruise and there are going to be 4 of us in our 20's. We are looking for a good place to have a few beers and relax on the beach on a budget. Any suggestions? 7 mile beach seems to be the most popular. Could we have the cab driver stop us at a store next to the beach so we can pick up some beers and put them in the cooler for when we are on the beach?

Grab a cab and have them stop a a liquor store along West Bay Rd. (road along Seven Mile Beach). Beer is not cheap, +$40 USD a case. Head to Governor's Beach by the Westin if you are OK with towels only (no chair rentals or amenities), but Westin is next door should you need watersports rentals, food, bar or restroom. Big Daddy liquor is across the street in the Falls shopping strip (some cheaper for Cayman restaurants there like EATs and Sunshine Grill). If you want more people around and chair rentals, head up the road a bit further to Seven Mile Public Beach (aka Seagrape Beach). Calico Jacks beach bar is there.

but do NOT challenge the locals to a game of dominos . . . :p

nothing in Cayman is going to be inexpensive - they have the highest standard of living in the Carib'. Prices you see will be in Cayman dollars. Your US $20 is CI $16

(she may look 20 but she's 16 CI )

to compute prices, figuring a tip too .... just add 40% to the bill if paying US
