sickofsnowinmich Posted December 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2012 For an April 1st cruise, the four of us are flying in to FLL, cruising from Miami the following day. Since we are getting in to FLL at about 9 p.m., we plan to get a hotel there. If I book an independant shuttle service for the day of our cruise, will they pick up at a hotel vs. the FLL airport? Any suggestions as to a shuttle service to use? Thanks

bjd2 Posted December 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2012 QLS (Quality Limo Service) has shuttles and will pick you up at a hotel in FLL. They pick up earlier than SAS will according to their website. I've used them and have only good things to say.
lucky13elec Posted December 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2012 The answer is yes. Call SAS is my vote. I've been using them for a few years. Very reasonable and on time.
riclop Posted December 16, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Used QLS and were very happy with them, they have a much better customer service than SAS.
Eng23 Posted December 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Yes, a hotel pick up is no problem. Just make a reservation in advance with one of the shuttle services in the area. SAS and QLS Transportation are two that I know of.

chipq Posted December 16, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Have used both QLS and SAS between FLL and POM and felt that both were very good.If your hotel is at FLL they likely will have no issue picking you up there. Have a good time. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com
girlscruise2011 Posted December 16, 2012 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2012 I used QLS in November and they do start 1 hr earlier then SAS. I thought they were great and would definately use them again, since I like to be at the Port as soon as I can. I was there before SAS even started to pick up their passengers :)

Crazy4Cruisin225 Posted December 16, 2012 #14 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Don't know if it would be cheaper for you (depending on how many you have to split the cost), but whenever we fly into FLL for a Miami cruise we rent a car at FLL and the next day drop it off at MIA. Then we take the free shuttle from the rental center at MIA to the port. Car usually costs about $60 for the day with the extra insurance. Just a suggestion... Catrin Posted December 16, 2012 #15 Share Posted December 16, 2012 We have used SAS for years and always a great experience. They get my vote SAS left us stranded at our horel in FLL. They never showed as promised. They never answered their phone when we called asking where they were. They never called us back as we left our phone number when we had called. We had a confirmed reservation with them
sickofsnowinmich Posted December 16, 2012 Author #16 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Thank you everyone for your input on the shuttle question from FLL to POM. I like the idea of the one that can get me earlier rather than later..;)
Chigirlcruzin Posted December 16, 2012 #17 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Used QLS and were very happy with them, they have a much better customer service than SAS. Have you used both? Why is QLS better? I've only used SAS. They irritated me the last time. Would consider making a switch.

MEOWSMURPHY Posted December 16, 2012 #19 Share Posted December 16, 2012 We'll soon be booking flights for a cruise out of <MIA in October...there are 4 of us...trying to decide at what "price point" do I switch from flying into MIA and go to FLL instead. I'd like to fly in to either airport the night before..seems to me I have several options.. #1) Carnival Transfer #2) rent a car #3) limo/shuttle service Questions.. #1) If we take the Carnival Transfer then we have to go back to the airport to get the bus and then do we have to wait for the bus to fill up before we head to the cruise port? #2) If we rent a car is it easy to get a car to return to FLL once off the cruise? #3) Does anyone know the approx price for limo/shuttle service - round trip for 4? Thanks for any help. Emmy
